Methodology
How We Review
Every GLP-1 program we cover is scored on four criteria: price transparency, provider credentials, customer support, and treatment options. No paid placements. We update our reviews regularly as programs change.
Our four scoring criteria
1. Price transparency
We sign up for every program we review under real conditions and document every fee, including any prepay required to unlock the lowest published price. If pricing only appears after a multi-step quiz or behind a paywall, we score that lower. Programs that publish clear, monthly pricing on their landing page receive higher scores.
2. Provider credentials
We verify that every program uses licensed clinicians to review intake forms and that prescriptions are not issued by an algorithm alone. We confirm the states a program is licensed in, what credentials its providers hold, and how the prescribing decision is actually made.
3. Customer support
We test response times across email, chat, and phone where available. We escalate routine questions and sensitive ones (cancellation, dose adjustment, side effect concerns) to see what the experience is like under real conditions, not just on the marketing page.
4. Treatment options
We evaluate the breadth of medications, dose flexibility, whether the program offers real coaching beyond a refill, and whether it can adapt to changing patient needs. Programs that only offer a single medication or a single dose tier are scored lower than programs with meaningful options.
Scoring
Each criterion is scored 0 to 10. We weight all four equally for an overall score out of 10. Each review also includes a final score breakdown so you can see where a program is strong and where it falls short. Scores below 7.0 generally do not make our top rankings.
What we will not do
- We do not accept payment for placement.
- We do not move programs up our rankings based on commission rate.
- We do not write hidden advertorials or sponsored reviews.
- We do not publish reviews based on press releases or marketing kits alone.
How we make money
Some of our reviews include affiliate links. When a reader signs up through one of those
links, we may earn a commission. The price you pay is unchanged. Our rankings are not
affected by partnership status, and you can verify which links are affiliate links because
they are clearly disclosed and use rel="sponsored". Read our full affiliate disclosure.
Update frequency
We update our reviews and rankings on a rolling weekly basis. Each review carries a "Last updated" timestamp. If you spot a pricing change, a new medication, or a policy update we missed, write to us at editorial@trimreview.com.
Editorial standards
Every review is written or edited by a member of our editorial team. Marketing copy from the programs we cover is never used verbatim. We do not publish unverified clinical claims. When we describe medication side effects, we cite the FDA labeling for the corresponding branded drug or the relevant clinical literature.
